We live, shop, eat, and play in beautiful South Carolina and we wouldn’t have it any other way. In celebration of our great communities, The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette are revamping the “Best of” and presenting the 2026 Lowcountry’s Best. This contest is truly designed to engage the community in celebrating the places, restaurants and local businesses we love.

2025 saw more than 1,400 businesses, organizations, and individuals competed across 198 categories, and the community cast over 233,000 votes — an incredible 39% increase year-over-year. This growth is a powerful reflection of the pride Lowcountry residents have for celebrating their favorites and uplifting the local businesses that make the region thrive.​

How does it work?
During the nomination period, we invite our audience to nominate outstanding establishments and professionals in Lowcountry and the surrounding areas. Once our nominations are taken, we
will move them to a ballot for official voting. All nominations and voting will be done online at VoteLowcountry.com.
